Frequently Asked Questions

Experienced answers to guide your legal decisions.

Will I go to jail?

The possibility of jail time depends on the specifics of your case, including the charges against you, the evidence, your criminal history, and local jurisdiction. When you work with us, you’ll always receive an honest, strategic plan to best protect yourself.

What will happen in court?

In court, your case will go through several stages, including arraignment, pre-trial motions, possibly a trial, and sentencing if convicted. We advocate on your behalf, challenge evidence, and negotiate with prosecutors to achieve the best possible outcome.

Will this be on my record?

Whether an offense stays on your record depends on the nature of the charge, the outcome of your case, and your jurisdiction’s laws. In some cases, we’re able get your record expunged or sealed.

How much will this cost me?

When you begin working with Jeremy Widder Law, you will be on a flat fee schedule. You will not be required to pay the whole fee upfront. Before we even begin our work together, depending on your case and its needs, you’ll know exactly what defense costs are needed for your particular situation so you can move forward with confidence.
